in respect to your theory of right and wrong based on cultural education, i feel you are accurate..however, based on human existance, wrong can be clearly summed up as something which causes injury to your body... example to sit beside a fire to stay warm is right but to put your hand in a fire and get burned is wrong... or, if you eat healthy food your body gets strong and is right, vs eating toxic food makes you weak and sick, thus it is wrong....... so in general, it's your body that will tell you if it's right or wrong in order to exist.

Right and wrong may be relative and contextual as you have correctly argued.... however, there is a basic reason behind each right and wrong.... the reason is simply to ensure that individual freedom does not hamper smooth and equitable progress of the society. We somehow take these rights and wrongs as rigid realities and in the process undermine the basic reason why they were so classified.... if we continue to reason out properly, the rights and the wrongs may keep changing over the years with the changes in the society, but at a point in time in a given context, the right can not be confused or interchanged with the wrong!!! The concept is correct, the practice is faulty.

Interesting question... As much as everyone likes the idea of total freedom, to have such would cause total chaos, a society needs to form rules and regulations to allow it to exist, now as a Christian (by the way I am not pushing Christianity here, just answering the question) I rely upon the teachings in the Bible to be my guide as to what is right or wrong, personally *note I said personally* I believe that there needs to be a definitive statement of what is right and what is wrong and of course I believe it to be in the Bible, I also fully accept that others do not believe as I do, but one thing everyone has in common is their conscience, now our consciences generally speaking let us know instinctively what is right and what is wrong, though it can be affected by culture and upbringing.
In this world today there are many belief systems, or no belief systems, as the case may be, but most will know, by their conscience that it is wrong to do something which adversely affects another.

well theres such thing as right and wrong for example in an exm the question is 1 + 1= ?
u write in 11, well the examiner is gonna mark you wrong because everyone knows that 2 is the answer and this question applies in life too, there are right and wrongs and these are not set on individual peoples beliefs but as the whole society's belief.

Right and wrong are judgments based on our ideas of good and evil.
The good and evil that you see don't even exist in reality, at least not outside of the mind that believes in them. They are only judgments passed by the individual from their own unique perspective. What one person sees as bad or evil may seem to be the only logical thing to do from some other perspective. The ideas of both good and evil are point of view specific. This is why people like bush and bin laden are either loved or hated. Bush is seen as good by people who share his fear based thought system. Those who have a compassionate concern for all of mankind often see him as evil.
Bin laden is much the same. He is a villain in much of the western world, but he is somewhat of a celebrated pop star on the Middle East. There are T-shirt shops that sell items with his picture as though he was Jesus. It all depends on your point of view or perspective.
To sum it all up good is the name we give to people who do things that we think we like.
Evil is the name we give to people who do the things that we don’t like.
This is of course based solely on our particular point of view.

I GOT YOUR POINT, BUT
To make porno with children is wrong.
To kill someone for money is wrong.
you are right when you say saying right or wrong sometimes is based on our prejudices.
I recommend another criteria " healthy or unhealthy"
we can say " its unhealthy " rather than " wrong"
if somebody watch porns too much.

mostly if people do not like something then it is wrong, and if they like something than it is right!!
i only beleive in the basics, like killing, raping, abusing......those are like the basic wrongs,
and the basic rights like helping, making someone happy.......
otherwise i don't beleive in other right, wrong things that people made it up based on their minds and expectations.

I'm thinking it would depend on how you felt in your heart about the situation, good or bad. And that's all i'm saying, thank you.
