In my opinion, the 360 is the better machine right now. Of course, the PS3 does have the potential to catch up, and maybe even overtake the 360. But, as some people have said, the 360 has way more games for it, and Halo 3, Halo Wars, and another Halo game being developed by Peter Jackson, is going to be coming out in the next two years. Who cares if the PS3 has a built in hd dvd player. You can buy one for the 360 for 200, which would make it the same price as the PS3. Sure, PS3 will have games like MGS4, but from what I hear, they will be releasing MGS4 for the 360 also, just not at the same time. Anyways, I hope my post was helpful.

Well, if you want something that is easy to use and won't give you a lot of issues...go with the 360. The PS3 has slightly better graphics but not as many games. Honestly, I have a 360 and a Wii. My Wii gets a lot more gameplay time than my other consoles. It's just more fun. May not have the graphics that the others do, but it's a lot more fun. I would say the 360 over the ps3 though. Just my opinion.

I got a 360 for christmas and i love it. Think about this though - i have bought a wireless connector (£60) and an xbox live gold membership, which you need to play on-line games (£40). I'm also considering getting a HD-DVD drive which is about £120. That's £240 on top of the £280 to be able to get the most out of the 360. £520 in all. PS3 has all these included (equivalent). Also the big japanese developers ain't too keen on the 360. However the 360 is a real 'gamers' console with a huge on-line comunity. Get a PS3 and if you don't like it - i'll swap with you!!!

Right now, XboX360.

The thing is you buy a console for games, and xbox currently has the best games. The problem is that it break down often, but thats what warranties are for.

The ps3 is much more powerful but developers dont even know how to create games for it. Thats why everything thats coming out for ps3 at the moment is basically a prettier ps2 game.

Hands down the best console to own is the ps2. its got the most games that still look amazing. (God of War) and most games can be purchased for under $20.

Also if you like to play online go with the xbox360 nothing can beat Live service at the moment, maybe PS Home will but who knows.

Buy 360 now, sell it in 2 years and get a ps3. hope this helps

Definitely the mighty Playstation3...lots of people keep saying that PS3 is a failure but can they really prove it?Of course both Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii are topping PS3 in the market right now,but look at the all of qualities PS3 have...PS3 is the only console right now using the Blu-Ray technology. Then Sony just released the SIXAXIS bluetooth controller,a controller that contains sensory motion. Can you get a controller like that with Xbox 360?And most important, lots of famous title is coming on PS3 platform and PS3 only...Like Devil May Cry 4,Metal Gear Solid 4,Final Fantasy 13 and much more...

Long story short,Playstation 3 is definitely the coolest console right now...Yeah it's a little bit expensive, but it'll be worth your every penny!

The 360 is so much better, first of all it is half as cheap, and if you look at the SPECS of each of the consoles they are basically identical!!!! Also the 360 came out nearly a year before the PS3, and the 360 controller ROCKS!!! much better than the PS3. There is also a romour for the PS3 where as you cannot let friends borrow a game, because it will not work on there PS3, just yours. it like leaves a file on your ps3 saying that the game has been played!!!!

The 360 wins that one hands down. The PS3 is way too overpriced and lagging behind by some distance. People thought that the new GTA game will be able to save it, but it's scheduled for a simultaneous release on both consoles, so what's the point on shelling out three times as much money for a PS3 when there are no great exclusive releases to shout about.

Don't really mind, have seen both perofrm and they both are imprseeive. I have 360 only because I was given it when it came out, would have waited till last christmas to buy one as was quite happy with my xbox.

Still, both have things going for them - PS has the back catalogue - which annoys the hell out of me with the 360. PS has more reach ni terms of people willing to write quality product. But 360 has the live service which unless sony have got something truly cool up their sleeves like no subscription fee, tey aren't going to get over that aspect of xbox's dominance. Otherwise, it's a case of waiting and watching.

Still reckon PS3 will beat the 360, I just feel that sony now need to work harder as microsoft know how to do their thing now. Next generation will be tighter still.

I don't like the Wii though - that thing is designed to give you rsi and backache, holding the controllers out in fromnt of you - most uncomfortable.

The 360, their both similar in graphics and power, ps3 a tiny bit more. But not worth it for the massive price difference. I was undecided too. But definitely the 360

sony tripped and is having an awfully hard time getting up. they rushed their system and have a long way to go to catch up to the 360. they need a flagship game like halo (which will be so hard, even metal gear solid isnt THAT good) to rally some support. their loyal fans are out 600 bucks and the desire to game and watch 360 players giggling like school children while they chainsaw dudes on xbox live. the ps3 has so much potential. the 360 IS potential.
