No - a good Muslim means following the supremacist political ideology of Islam.
Islam is political. It preaches a view that the whole world should be subjugated to its laws, The Sharia.
Sharia Law is meant to replace all secular governments. Muslims believer that all humans would be better off if they got rid of governments, elections, democracy and lived their lives according to Islam.
A good Muslims is taught to hate non-believers. That is why Jihad is being waged all over the world against Buddhists, Hindus, Christians, Jews and atheists.
Hindus are being bombed on their trains in India, Buddhist monks are being shot in Mongolia and China. Christian teachers are being beheaded in Thailand, Indonesia and Philippines.
It's not just an American or Western problem.
Jihad has been going on for 1400 years without stop. It all started when Muhammad killed people with his bare hands and commanded armies.
What kind of peaceful founder of a religion controls armies?
He taught his followers to hate non-believers.
The more Muslims that come into America, the more unstable the country will be. Look at what has already happened in Europe. France and Germany are now adopting pro-Arab policies in fear of angering their sizable Muslim population.
To be a good Muslim means to introduce Sharia to America - once you have the numbers on your side to make it happen.

personally I don't think religion has anything to do with being a good american. There are bad people in every religion for instance jimmy jones, david coresh, the woman who drowned her kids and said God told her to do so.... to name a few. many do wrong in the name of religion. I've traveled the middle east and I can tell you my experience was so enlightening. I love they way the people, muslims, druze, and christians all treated me so well, inviting me to their homes and were so welcoming. The west has such a limited mentality where muslims are concerned. Everyone should get to know a muslim then you would know in general they are very good and kind people. it's really so unfair to stereo-type. many, many Muslims work 15 hour days and pay taxes, they don't come here and live off the government they struggle to get what they have.

One's religion has nothing to do with whether or not someone can be a "good" American. Unfortunately, there are some rather closed minded people in regards to the Muslims. Each and EVERY religion has bad seeds. Just because Osama Bin Laden and his followers were "bad" Muslims doesn't mean each and every Muslim is bad. Timothy McVey was a Christian but that doesn't mean he was a "good" Christian. He pulled a terrorist attack against his own country, the USA. It amazes me how people don't consider the entire Christian religion as a bad religion after that happened yet, radical Muslims can attack our country and all of a sudden all of them are bad whether they are citizens of American or not.

Depends upon your definition of a good Muslim. If your definition includes being stuck in the teachings of the 7th century then no, absolutely not. But if your definition is based on 21st century beliefs and understanding/acceptance of your fellow man then yes, the "Religion of Peace" could thrive in the US.

no,no,no, America's beliefs and system are not compatible with the Muslim religion, so don't start this b,s, where this country is open to all religions, when our forefather's wrote the constitution they never dreamed we would have a influx of Muslim's in our country or they would have put it into our constitution to not ever let them immigrate here, or maybe they thought our people would have better sense. several of our forefathers signed a letter to congress to never let Jew;s immigrate here , but, for some reason it was never voted on.
