how to clean the tracks that cookies and illicit sites leave on my computer?

i am computer illeterate i don't know where the tools and internet options are. please i need help with details

i did these steps now i have another question : do these files have any tracks on the computer?

When you go into the internet look at the top of the page. Somewhere it will say tools, mines at the very right top. click and go to internet options, then click delete under browsing history.

Easiest way.

PRESS ALT on your keyboard. That should highlight the FILE menu. After pressing ALT, then with the keyboard arrows go all the way right to the TOOLS menu. And then click on on the DOWN arrow key, and go all the way down to INTERNET OPTIONS. Once highlighted, click it with your mouse button or hit enter.

After that, go to DELETE BROWSER HISTORY, and then it should be self explanatory from there.

follow these steps - Go to tools, internet options - click on delete cookies and delete files. thats it.

For cookies: Go to TOOLS, then INTERNET OPTIONS, then at the General tab, click DELETE COOKIES.

For the sites: hit ctrl+H, then delete history.


ADDITIONAL: well, if you deleted it already, there will be none. Goodluck man.

on ie6 one of the tabs across the top - file - view etc

drop it down - select internet options (left click)
the select - delete - (left click)

delete temp files - cookies- history
