Say I go on disability, and the company decides to make me part of a mass layoff going on...... Do I end up getting the package everyone else got in my salary range after I get off disability, or don't I?

You should get the same package as your peer group, but it won't necessarily wait for you to go "off" disability.

You can be laid off at any time - disability leave or not. If it is work-comp, the company will be on the hook for your on-going care, if it is personal disability you will be on your own. I do know some companies have a policy about employees on disability and layoff, but there is no law requiring them to keep you on if you would have otherwise been laid-off.
