i can sing but not very well, u know not like ciara or someone but few people have told me i have a nice voice. i can also dance a little and i am good at listening and giving advice. i seem to be moderate at everything i do. i need to find a talent where i am the best or one of the best. how do you discover your talent. N.B i have low self esteem

Explore your interests, you seem to have musical talent, if your interested in singing or dancing take it to the next level.
what about the theatre?...does that interest you?
Once you have found an interest, you can work on it!
from experience:
I was in the same position, it seemed everyone had a talent, but I couldn't find my own!
I had been participating in a part-time photography course, simply as a hobby, but my friend knew of this, and one day asked me to take a photo of her and her brother....we spent most of the day taking photos, and it went so well, she had one of the photos enlarged and framed for a gift, from that moment, I've wanted photography to be the biggest part of my life, because of the joy it gives people who view my work, especially when they say "you have a talent with photography"
Since then I've entered competitions and things to try and further my "talent"....
Photography started as an intrest....and launched as a talent.
It has to interest you because then you'll feel passionate about it, and then you'll want to learn more, and you will appear more talented.

in terms of low self esteem, once you start developing your talent, you will begin to feel proud of who you are!
....even though you should feel proud of yourself anyway!

If you look at a lot of the acts in the Top40, or watch shows like Pop Idol, you'll find that most of them have little or no talent, so I wouldn't let your lack of talent hold you back!
Seriously though, it sounds like you need to tackle your low self esteem first. Have a look for night-classes in your area for self-assertiveness classes. Gain some confidence and see where that takes you!

When Fred Astaire had his audition his report said can sing and dance but not very well, Bing Crosby was told his voice wasn't too bad but his ears were too big and look where they ended up , tell yourself you can and you will whatever you choose.

Unless you work hard at one thing or the other, you'll be like 90% of the population, good at some things but not great at anything. Welcome to the club sweetie.
