I wish life were so simple, I really do. I hope you never find yourself in the position of staring down the barrel of a gun that you know without a shadow of a doubt is going off in any second. I wish you peace in your blissful world , maybe you can inspire us all with your outlook. John Lennon spent his whole life doing just that. We need a whole bunch more John Lennons

Not necessarily, no. What about if someone was torturing/killing you? Or your family member? Would you just let that person kill you because you believe that all killing is murder?! NO WAY! You have to protect yourself. And no, the world would not be paradise if there was no killing...people would still steal, rape, lie, cheat, and hurt each other. Although I do agree with you when you say you believe that killing a creature for no reason is an ugly thing.

1- premeditated murder is wrong; that's why we have a judicial system.
2- we do what we have to do in order to survive, as regards food. You must choose what you want to eat.
3- in an instance of self-defense or protecting a loved one, I would have very little issue with taking a life.
4- actor/director John Huston once said (and I paraphrase) "most people are fortunate that they never have to deal with the fact that in the right circumstances, they are capable of anything."

Your argument does have some truth in it but:
1) Every person has the right, no matter were that person is, to defend himself/herself from someone who is trying to cause them harm, even if it means killing the aggressor;
2) If no one in the world died, it would be a whole now problem, because with so many people, there would be no where to work, not enough food to feed them, not enough space on the planet.
3) Though I don't agree with killing I can truly say that some people deserve to die, for their sins in life;
4) You have to understand that against everything you believe, soldiers who go to war do not fight to kill or for themselves(maybe in very rare occasions) but they go to war to protect their countries, to serve their people.
5)When you love something or someone, the will to protect and maintain that love is enough justification to fight for it, even though it could lead to death.(just try to avoid killing someone)
And there are many more arguments but these are the main.

I suppose since your question falls under the philosophy category, I must ask you to read up on Plato, Hobbes, Locke, Descartes. Spinoza, Freud, McQinn, and Nietsche among many. many. many others. Ultimately the answer is your opinion however. But without having gone through a kill or be killed situation, how can you ever be truly sure? Semper fi.

heard of self defense or justifiable homicide?
I used to imagine the extreme for arguements sake if no one defended them self because they were good and the evil people decided to kill all the good then there would be no good left at all . hence the statement :when good people do nothing evil flourishes .or as Albert said,"The world is a dangerous place to live; not because of the people who are evil, but because of the people who don't do anything about it."
Albert Einstein
you might look into Buddhism it would match your philosophy

No, sometimes killing someone is the only way to stop them. If we couldn't stop the psychos in society from hurting us life would not be a paradise.
