I lived down the street from her in the "Haight-Ashbury" days in San Francisco. She was an awesome singer, and a very lonely person.She then sang with "Big Brother and the Holding Co." has anyone heard of Janis Joplin?!?!? She's incredible! She has such a soulful voice....too bad she couldn't stick around for very long.

I really like her too. I'm 18. For me it's not just her music but her persona. She was larger than life. Her clothes were so awesome, she dripped cool. ha ha. Her music is so soulful and inspired. The feeling that she put into each song made it a masterpiece.

hmm i wouldnt say the greatest singer of all time, but i will say i think shes great to sing along with when your drunk. it makes me happy.

don't get too hooked on her because she died before you were born !!! I like just a few of her songs. she was a bad role model because she was addicted to drugs and used them daily.
