In about 2 weeks if you do it everyday, exercise and eat right, you should see a dramatic change.

Try some hypnosis tapes, those work very well.

Not very well.

What happens when it works is that the affirmation becomes what behavior analysts call a discriminitive stimulus- an indication that there is something to work toward that will provide rewards if you do the work. As long as progress is made toward that goal the affirmations are continued, but when there is a break in the progress, the affirmations usually stop and the progress stops as well.

It's better to select a goal, determine what skills you already have that can help you get to that goal, and chart a course toward reaching that goal in small steps.

I think it is just another way to remind yourself of the positive things, and actively controlling your thought patterns. Your are what you think you are. What I have found helpful is to replace a negative thought with a positive as soon as I notice or become aware of the negative.

Why not experiment and see if it works for you?
