LOL! If you like those heels....then go ahead and wear them. The reason why they say when you are pregnant to wear the flats is pretty much for comfort and safety reason....that's all. When pregnant, some woman get the varicose veins in their legs and some get swelling in their feet as well... key word=SOME. And not to mention your feet will be carrying more weight. ;-) But there is no proven medical reason for not wearing cute shoes while pregnant. I was personally into the flats with my 2 pregnancies(on my feet 8 hours/day), but I have quite a few friends that were VERY noticeably pregnant and still wearing their 4 inch heels. So just listen to what your body is telling you. If your feet start to swell or if you get the varicose veins or if they are just flat out hurting your feet....consider the flats :**{ And if all goes well then stick to those heels! Good luck with that!

My sister can only wear high heels, because that is all she has become used to. When she wears low heels or jogging shoes her feet hurt. She is now pregnant in her 3rd trimester, she still wears heels but of course much lower than before. So I think its okay, it won't harm the baby or anything. Just don't overdo it, because you do get a little bit clumsier the bigger your belly gets.

It depends on the person. I had sciatica when I was about 7 months along and any type of heel made it even worse. I had to see a special chiropractor to manage it and I had to pay a lot of money for that. If you have lower back or hip pain when you wear heels, just don't.

You CAN wear heels, it won't like, hurt the baby or anything. It's just bad for YOU. Your posture is off as your tummy grows, so it makes it easier for you to lose your balance and fall over. Also, as you get bigger and your feel swell, the heels aren't good for your feet because they are restricting. I've had to go to a wedding and I wore heels-- my feet just hurt like hell! I do wear wedges though... they aren't so bad! It's just a safety measure-- be careful when you walk in them!

Ask your midwife to be sure. I still wear high heels from time to time, although my bf's mom tells me not too. In fact, I've worn them to the dr. and she didn't say a word! I've also known women that wore their heels for the whole pregnancy with no problems!

A small heel is ok but you would find it uncomfortable wearing higher heels as you got further on as your centre of gravity changes and you would feel unsteady.
