Measure the length of each wall, then the height to the cabinets. Multiply the length times the height. You can add all the lengths together then multiply by the height. or do each wall separately. That will give you your square area. If it is in inches divide by 144, that will give you square feet. Get 10% more than you measure. There will be some waste.

Measure the distance between the counter and the bottom of the wall cabinets. Multiply that by the total length of the area you want to tile. That gives you square footage of the area. Add 5%-10% for waste. If you are also going to use bullnose tiles or decor tiles get a linear foot measurement of where you are going to use them. It takes 1- 12x12 tile to cover a square foot, 4 - 6x6 tiles, 9 - 4x4 tiles etc. Dont forget to put the foam pads behind your outlet covers when you put your cover plates back on. You will also need longer screws for the outlets themselves.

id go on to b&q or wickes website and see what size the tiles you like come in then measure the length and width of the space you need then see how many fit you'll need a good few more if you have to cut them and a tile cutter there not that expensive either for the cheap ones but there is a nack to it so expect to brake a few before you sus it out

I just measure in feet and use on-line calculator to convert to meters. Or go to a site which sells tiles and put in your measurements and it will get converted into how many tiles you will need.

Scale it on some graph paper.
work out the area of the wall, divide it by the area of the tile.
How come you metric folk have so much trouble with your numbers.

Measure the height and length of the space. You multiply height by length and that is your sq. ft.
