Usually when you hook up the USB cable to the computer itunes will pop up and it will say "xxxxxxx's IPOD" on the left. When I plug it in all it does is charge the Ipod therefore I can't even restore it.
Anyone encounter the same problem? Is there a fix or do I need to call apple?
Thanks

Try using a different USB port, or different USB cord. Restart your computer, or re-install iTunes. Try resetting your iPod by holding down "Menu" and the middle button for 5 seconds. I hope these help.

You may need to reset everything back to original. Read the user manual. If this doesn't work, contact Apple.
