It can be a formidable bonding process. It doesn't necessarily have to include intercourse, but for some people it does. So sex has to be defined. Even affection will replace sex as a marriage or relationship goes on. If that goes, look out!

A serious relationship is like a house--built strong by the elements brought by two mature people. Trust, respect, caring, sharing, tolerence, humor, integrity, dignity, and communications. Communicating is more than talk--it is what we don't say that is often the most important--and sex is a non-verbal communication that speaks volumes----that's why a sex act must be between two people in LOVE. Discovering each other, enjoying each other, pleasuring each other---making each other comfortable and happy in a physical way. Without love it is only an act--no feeling and no real meaning. Good luck

I wouldn't say sex is important in marriage, I would say sex can be important.
At first when your young it seems to be the center of your means for marriage. After awhile it's like anything else, you know it's there, I guess and you can have it but, there are so many other things in a relationship that are just as important.

We can sit and just hold hands and watch T.V. or just saying nice things and doing nice things for each other. Being there when it's necessary and thinking about each other.
Sex is important but, there are other things that are just as important, I guess you just have to age a bit to realize what's important in life.

Well, depending on the type of relationship, If its a new relationship and you two are hitting it off, then sex is very important because its another bond between you and the person you might be falling in love with.

Well, if you think sex is important in a relationship then the relationship is nothing but physical attraction.... Sex should be a part of the relationship not important... important can be lot of things.. like spending time together... understandinng each other and if you can achieve that then... i bet you.... Sex will be as fun...

because it it something normal people do when they are in a relationship. there is nothing wrong with haveing sex, while it is not the most important part of life it is an important part of an relationship between two consenting adults. no need to be prude.

If you love each other it's a way to bond otherwise you might as well be brother and sister. Sex is natural and is a release of many emotions.

can't imagine personally however to deliver a set of possibilities. 1. Men see it as an expression of their true love. They believe that it makes them feel closer to the girl and to understand and know her better. 2. Women see it as giving the guy the ultimate gift to prove their love.
Give me an old dog anyday.

Usually with love comes a rush of hormones. Those hormones "turn you on". It is natural to feel the need to be with someone physically because you're trying to be as close as possible to them.
