How to power on Viewsonic LCD monitor?

I just moved my viewsonic lcd monitor to another room how do i power on? i held down the power button for awhile and it still didnt turn on.. pls help thanks

Try using the power cable plugged into the receptacle in the wall. Or check the VGA connection to the computer.

The power lead at the monitor end is not permanent wiring. Try pushing the plug in.

Also, make sure that the power outlet is not connected to a light switch.
