LOL! I know this answer because I asked my OBGYN about this when I was pregnant for my first baby. I too was going to believe the old wives tale. He told me it was fine...even asked me what color I was gonna go for because if it would match his he would go with me and we could get it done together LOL.

First of all i dont thin so that u asked a ridiculous queson.. infact it is very important to know abt these types of things when u are pregnant or tryig to get pregnant.. i heard that the chemicals are not good 4 the fetus.. and some people say that after three months of pregnancy we can go 4 that coloring or perming thing but i won't prefer that either.. i guess u can wait for 9 months and after having a health baby u can always color ur hairs:)
Best of Luck

certainly no longer. that's real for some women persons, yet for some the hormones make you desire to do no longer something extra beneficial than rip off the heads of anybody you return in touch with. I somewhat have had no sexual desire by way of my entire being pregnant.. which has been good because of the fact my husband has been deployed on condition that i grew to become into 3 months pregnant lol.

No its not true, I asked my doctor and hairdresser. When I was in my 1st trimester (this is my 1st too), I needed to colour my hair as it was not looking the greatest. I wanted to go from a dark ash blonde with highlights to a brunette to lessen the regrowth for a while. I asked my doc and he said it was fine. My hairdresser (who is also my friend of 10yrs) put it to me like this "colourants need to accommodate everyone (including pregnant woman) otherwise we lose business".

I'm pretty sure it's only for your 1st trimester, but some doctors say otherwise. Just ask your doctor if it's alright for you personally to dye your hair

I heard that you shouldn't get your hair dyed during the 1st trimester. (3months) But that after it should be fine, i personally never have dyed my hair, but when i was pregnant, i wouldnt have done it anyway. I just think they smell alone is too much.

I had never heard of that until yesterday. My best friend bought her first baby book and that was one of the first things she saw! I'd check with both your stylist and doctor. Either way, congratulations and good luck!

I believe the chemicals are bad for you. I hear there are some natural dyes or treatments you can do though that are perfectly safe.

the amonia and some of the other chemicals in it can cause miscarriage in early pregnancy and could even cause a child to be still born

you can, but it may not stay or the color may not come out right as the chemicals in your scalp and body are all wacky at this time
