Well here's the details, I have a new slim ps2 , the computer I use has a modern and a wireless router. What would I have to do to play my ps2 online?

Your version of the PS2 has the network adapter built in. There should be a port in the back that you can use to connet your ps2 to your router with an ethernet cable. (rj-45, not crossover...)
You also have to set up the network settings and save them to your ps2's memory card. To do this use the network setup disc that is sold with new ps2's, or if you don't have one, there's a utility you can access to do this, found on most ps2 online games. If you have a static IP, you'll enter that and your other network information (usually gateway is 255.255.255.0) but most broadband is DHCP meaning it will connect itself. Once you've created and saved the Network Setting, the game should work.
btw there's a lot more than just FPS online for PS2. Now that ps3 is out, ps2 stuff is getting cheap. enjoy.

well you first of all need to have a lan or net connection and a 1st person shooter multiplayer game.
you can connect your cable (net) to th ps2.>>>>
