Who else, besides me, thinks it would be a bad idea for Mistico to join the WWE?

Question

For those of you (which is alot on this site) who don't follow any pro wrestling outside the WWE (again, alot of you on this site) Mistico is a 24 year old Lucha Libre masked Mexican wrestler who is by far one of the most talented pro wrestlers out there. Hell, alot of people are calling him the new Rey Mysterio or Ultimo Dragon! This year this guy beat out wrestlers like Chris Benoit, Triple H,Shawn Michaels, and Roidtista to claim the #5 spot on the Top 500 Best Wrestlers in 2006, and no cruiserweight has EVER done that! Now the WWE is interested in signing him. They already gave him a test match and were (of course) pleased so it looks like he will join the WWE soon. I however think this would be a very bad move on Mistico's part because while I have been a fan of the WWF (now the WWE) for almost 16 years Vince McMahon NEVER gives chances to people under 6'0, hell now his requirements are that wrestlers have to at least be 6'3!

Vince has it embedded into his thick skull that oversized, roided-up, no talent wrestlers deserve more pushes than the actual wrestlers because thats what he thinks people want to see. No Vince, that's what little kids who don't know better want to see, fans who actually have been watching wrestling for a long time want to see technically sound wrestlers like Chris Benoit, Randy Orton, CM Punk, Rey Mysterio, Chavo Guerrero, and now Mistico get pushes.

Now I know what your thinking, "but he will be a great addition to the Cruiserweight Division," which he will but he, like Rey Mysterio and AJ Styles, deserve more than that because they are better wrestlers than about 80% of the super heavyweights out there and that is a fact.

It took Rey Mysterio more than half his career to finally win a World Title that he rightfully deserved and TNA had the intelligence to see how amazingly talented AJ Styles is and now he (along with Samoa Joe) is the face of TNA and he has held the NWA Title 3 times, and neither of them showed any signs of not being able to hack it when they defended those Titles.

Here is what's going to happen to Mistico if he joins the WWE. He will do well in the Cruiserweight Division and win the Cruiserweight Title multiple times but that's it, he won't be anymore sucessfull than that because Vince has a big prejudice against smaller wrestlers and he thinks they can't hack it in the bigger divisions (the only reason Mysterion got the Title was because every fan likes and respects Rey and Vince took advantage of that). So while undeserving wrestlers (like Roidtista) are getting World Title reigns and oppourtunities Mistico will have to watch as people get pushes that he deserves. It's terrible and wrong and I for one think the WWE is becoming to cliquish for anyone to enjoy. What do you think?

I agree, he'll just get buried like all the lightweights. He has NO shot of ever being the world champ, so the IC or US Titles (IF that) would be his ceiling. He'd mostly be in the lightweight division and even then, look at Rey, he's only a 3 time champ for the cruiser weights. I don't have a cystal ball, but if Mistico does come in, I see him just like Ultimo Dragon who in my opinion was completely wasted by WWE. Dragon NEVER even won the cruiser weight title while he was there. One thing they might do is have him go to Raw and team with Super Crazy, that'd be a great team, I could see some great matches with them, MNM, the Hardyz and the World's Greatest Tag Team IF Vince lets them go at it, but then again, the tag team division is about an inch better then the cruiser weights. My opinion, stay in Mexico unless he just wants a quick pay day, if he does go, pray Vince doesn't unmask him ... I wish the J-Crown title was still around.

HOLY **** MISTICO IS ****ING AMAZING! I say Mistico going to WWE would be fantastic only if Vince McMahon allows Mistico to unleash his amazing arsenal of High Flying moves without limitations. If that happens the fans will go absolutely nuts and love him for the wrestling he does.

I can picture this match: Rey Mysterio VS Mistico at a Wrestlemania in the near future, that match would be awesome

it does'nt appear mistico is going anywhere unless he enjoys being sued.
When Mistico had his tryout, however, he forgot to mention that he had signed a five-year contract with CMLL. He still has several years remaining on his contract. WWE lawyers decided that the only way to get him in WWE would be to negotiate with CMLL. CMLL is in no way interested in working out a deal.

So the likeliness of seeing Mistico in a WWE ring in the future is very slim.

Holy **** dude you are completly right the WWE may be good for some jacked up steriod freaks but for people like Mysterio Psychocis Super Crazy Juventud Gurrera it is the worst thing for them everyone denise their talent and go to people like batista who according to other wrestlers is an asshole and is dumb as dog ****. I have never heard of the dude you are talking about and i hope i don't because if he comes to the WWE he would of just ruined his career

i have seen him wrestle once or twice and he is pretty amazing but i think he should be hired in TNA because vince wil hire any person whos awesome but he won,t give them a push.Jimmy wany yang should be a future cruiserweight but vince said that he isnt the type to be a next cruiserweight.Thats why he isnt the cruiserweight champion.They only gave him title shots because they wanted gregory helms to have the title for long and it would make it cool if he kepted it.
