The name describes its structure.
Each base in a molecule of DNA has 3 basic components:
a nucleotide (A,C,G or T)
a sugar (ribose)
and a Phosphate group (PO4)

The ribose lies in between the nucleotide and the phosphate.

One of the carbons in the ribose is missing a hydroxal or -OH group, hence "deoxyribo"
In RNA, this -OH group is present, hence "ribo".

Nucleic refers to the nucleotide, and acid refers to the weak acid properties instilled to DNA by the presence of all the phosphate groups.

2-Deoxyribose is a pentose monosaccharide (basically a sugar) and it forms the backbone of DNA along with phosphate groups. Nucleotides of Guanine,Thyamine, Adenosine and Cytosine attached to the backbones on each side of the double helix form the functional part of DNA. DNA contains condensed phosphoric acid (see link)
Hence deoxyribose(for sugar backbone) nucleic(for nucleotides) and acid (for phosphoric acid)

DNA
A nucleic acid that carries the genetic information in the cell and is capable of self-replication and synthesis of RNA. DNA consists of two long chains of nucleotides twisted into a double helix and joined by hydrogen bonds between the complementary bases adenine and thymine or cytosine and guanine. The sequence of nucleotides determines individual hereditary characteristics.

Deoxyribonucliec acid stands for the acronym DNA. It's an organic chemical of complex molecular structure occuring in cell nuclei as part of chromosomes, where it serves to encode genetic data.
