I had back labour with my first daughter. It felt like someone was breaking my back intwo-literally, it killed. The only way to help relieve it a little bit was kneeling on all fours. That's how I ened up giving birth as it ws just to painful laying down.
I didnt have any pain in my hips nor the feeling of something huge coming out of my anus.
My warning signs that labour had begun was the constant feeling of needing to poo. And pushing her out felt like I was doing a HUGE poo. As they press against all those same muscles as they come out.

I only had back labour with both my children, I thought there was something wrong with me, becasue I had never heard of it before. It is very intense pain, however I feel from my experience and also being there for the birth of my nephews (2) and my best friends labours (2) that it doesnt last as long as regular labour pains. I loved my labour (seriously) it was quick and easy, I walked right up until I was ready to push. This helped me alot. Good Luck !

How far along are you? That could help me in understanding your question alitte bit better. When your futher along in your pregancy you are going to feel pressure in your lower back and you could well be in labor. I would advise you to go to check yourself into triage so that a medical professional can take the right assetments on you and your symptoms. Good Luck and go to the hospital to get check. Better to be safe then sorry .

I had intense back labor. An epidural helped but there was still tons of pressure. My doctor told me to pretend that I was pooping and that helped focus the pushing.
