Syonara is actually spelt Sayonara which is the translation of the japanese word for Goodbye, go well. In English it is used in the same way as a farewell, though we sometimes also use it in a sarcastic way to mean Good riddance.

sayonara means good bye. it use when u will never meet that person for long time. for short time more appropiate use "ja mata iamasho" mean see you tomorrow or "ja ne" for close person.the meaning is almost the same.
