The 'gay lifestyle' alludes to promiscuous sexual activity, according to people who vote Republican.
The 'gay lifestyle' DOES NOT EXIST - just as one can not live a 'blue-eyed lifestyle'.
I live an ASHLEY lifestyle. The sexual choices and behaviours I make are determined by my CHARACTER - not my SEXUALITY

It would depend on the type of person who would ask me as I would either be offended or amused. If my grandmother asked me if I had a gay lifestyle, I would tell her yes. If, a work colleague for example asked the same question, I wouldn't appreciate it. My interpretation of a gay lifestyle is someone like Jack out of Will&Grace.
I have a pretty plain lifestyle like most and happy with my life!
You should go back and ask that person for their intrepretation of a gay lifestyle and then decide whether you wish to answer or not.

I think it means a lot more it's all the stero typical stuff that people think gay men do, but there are lots of positives and truths in there as well. If I related it to my own life then i do have the "pink £" power as I have no partner or kids, so a lot of my money is on pleasure and leisure, I like my room to look tidy and my clothes, decore, hair or all typicaly well groomed and colour co ordinated, (also it;s easy to rent if you are gay landlords think you will be tidyer and maintain the property well if you are a gay bunch of men as apposed to straight men), I like Madonna and Kylie and go clubbing every weekend even though I'm in my 30's, i like musicals, I go to the gym and loads more although a lot of these are done by straight men as well they become very "gay" if you start doing them as people just associate you with gay. Think Will and Grace, Queer Eye for the Straight Guy and bits of Ugly Betty, thats what the world thinks gay lifestylie is about, having good tatse, partying and having fun and nothing any deeper really

I live in the straight world, not on the scene. My lifestyle is quite ordinary, although I spent years living in London I never fully immersed myself, reason being I found most gays to be highly pretentious, bitchy and shallow. I choose friends for their personality and it just so happens I prefer straight company, must be a closet straight. I do take a lot of drugs and enjoy gardening. Is that considered gay lifestyle i don't really know.

To the poster above me, what does being gay have to do with dating Jesus? I suppose you think all gay people date satan. What a close-minded bigot.
Anyway, back to your question. I am gay and I have a life just like everybody else. If being gay is a lifestyle, then I guess being straight is the straight lifestyle. two way street.

Most definitely! Even though I am "straight" I will "come out" and say that I live the "gay lifestyle"! And LOVE IT!!! Let's see, where do I start...Ummm, my very best friend is gay, as well as my brother, my Godfather, my vet, my pharmacist, my mailman, 99% of my friends(who I adore and treasure) and not 100% sure, but pretty sure, one of my cats!
I love my life, the people in it, and wouldn't trade it or change it for anything!
P.S. Although....I wouldn't mind losing the whole "fish" reference...."*** hag" is acceptable, I mean, I am what I am, but to be called a "fish" is kinda, well, not so "Fabulous". ;)

I am gay but wouldn't say I live a 'gay lifestyle'-to me that implies a way of life you've chosen to live-I was born gay & it is who,not what I am.Our 'lifestyle' is exactly the same as our heterosexual family & friends. So I would have to say no.

i live an over worked and underpaid lifestyle. it isn't all bad though, i get to have kids, and hopefully expand my family by artificial insemination- i get to choose not to have to visit my local crappy lesbian and gay pub, or to choose not to take drugs, or have promiscuous sex with lots of people. i guess the same as everyone on this board (from more enlightened communities) i choose to live my life as i want to- mainly. and it's almost the same, if not more boring than you ungayers.
