Switching programs will not mean you get faster download. As with all such things, the speed you get is dependent on several factors. Your Connection Speed Their Connection Speed Net Traffic/Congestion. Packet Shaping. Peer Availability All these factors contribute to, or hinder your download speed Unfortunatly there is no magic program that will instantly speed up all your downloads. I get over 900KB/sec on some things, while 5-10K on others I'm not always gonna get blazing fast speeds. I cannot go more into detail, as it is out of the scope of this forum.

Bittorrent. Anybody that says anything but that doesn't know what they are talking about. Limewire, Kazaa Lite, emule are okay but don't come anywhere near as close to the capabilites of Bittorrent when it comes to moving huge files around. Learning curve is a little steeper w/ Bittorrent tho. I recommed uTorrent if you're on Windows, Azureus if you're on anything else.
