I occasionally get these strangely written emails that are not asking for anything or make any sense, at least to me. I have read a couple trying to figure out if the author had cause or purpose but they seem to be just random statements.

Thanks for your suggestions, let me clarify some things. It doesn't have any graphics or links, I examined it in HTML format in a hex editor, just pure text, no triggers or launch keys. The author and address are always unique and I have traced them to valid IP adresses, also unique. Now, any better ideas?

These emails are generally used to get you to respond, which verifies that your address is valid. Then you get put on some spammer's e-mail list.

Spam or a virus? I've had a couple of emails like this. Delete them immediately, don't open them if you're not familiar with the sender's ID.

they should also contain a graphic that is an advert to something dodgey - the rambling text is designed to look innocent and so bypass spam filters - the graphic may be missing or have been stripped out

They are either spam or spyware or worst of all, virus's. Do not open an email unless you know who it is from and if you are expecting it.

Block the sender and you won't receive any more of these nutty emails.
