dark blue vs light blue for a room?

which color looks better in a bedroom?

it really depends on personal preference. it also depends on the colour your making everything else in the room to accent it. dark blue looks good with white. and light blue looks good with a light green. pick the colour that goes best with the furniture, and the "accessories" for the room. it also depends on the mood of the room. dark blue would be a more fun colour, where as light blue would be more calming/relaxing. you also need to consider how much natural lighting is in the room. if the room is already pretty dark, you should go for a lighter colour, but if you have alot of natural lighting from windows, then the dark blue won't bring the room down, if you know what i mean. I have a light blue room and when the sun shines in the window, it makes the entire room bright without any 'artificial light'. Dark blue is a great color, but it would make a room too shady for me.

We have light blue. The dark blue was too dark for me. I have lots of natural light and I found to dark still. Go for light blue walls with dark blue accessories.

Light is better. Dark colors tend to give the appearance of closing the room in. Light colors are easier to live with. Happy painting.

Depends how much time you spend in there. Dark blue is great for sleeping and "you know", but if you spend a lot of time in there watching TV or on computer, etc. it can get pretty depressing, so I would choose light blue.
