There's nothing else I'd go back in for.
I'm a firefighter. People die SO fast in house fires because they are overcome by the smoke. The fire doubles in size every 60 seconds...
Sorry - This is a hypothetical question to see what's valued...:-) There are so many things I'd love to be able to save. My books (impossible, I have hundreds), a few knick-nacks that I really cherish (crystal decanter, amethyst tree), my weapons (also impossible, I have quite a few)...
I'd probably save my father's Luger. He recovered it from a dead German officer in WWII as a medic with Patton's 3rd Army and it's kinda a family heirloom.

As long as my pets and people are safe I would try to save my pictures. When I was about 5 our house burnt down we were away at the time on vacation and our cat got out on his own and we lost everything, and my mom said that if she could have only one thing replaced it would be her photos and as a result of the fire I have very few pictures of myself before I was 5 and only 2 baby pictures that my grandmother gave to me.

I would probably want to grab some pictures and home videos. But it really depends on how much the house is on fire. If it was just a little, maybe. But I have heard and seen way too many awful things that have happened to people because they thought they had some extra time.

My house burned to the ground last St Pattys Days. I had no time to save anything. The smoke alarm went off...then the next thing i knew there were flames shooting across the cealing. I spent as long as I could looking 4 my cat(which was about 30 seconds) There was so much smoke I Couldnt even see. I just hope he got out somehow...but ill never know. Ill never forget that smell//

On the way to getting everyone safely out the door. I would grab as many pictures and photo albums as possible. Those are things that can't be replaced.
My aunt's house burned down twice! And each time she lost all of her photos. She now keeps her albums on a shelf right next to the door so she can grab them on her way out!
She says that the photos were the hardest things for her to lose because they were irreplaceable. Furniture and clothes you can replace, and insurance gives you money to do so - but your pictures, that's a different story!

That happened to us. By the time everyone was out the flames and smoke were so bad we couldn't even get back in for our shoes or coats or anything. So there we stood in freezing weather, snow falling down all around us, in our nightclothes and socks or houseshoes! We lost everything we owned, right down to the foundation of the house.

My neighbors house caught on fire. We had to evacuate in case the fire spread to our house. The first thing we took was all our important documents.

i guess photographs....pretty much everything else can be saved.....I might try to save my great grandmothers china but that would take a long time to do and I don't know that I would risk burning up in the house for those dishes.
