It depends on how deep the hole is that she is asking for you to dig, will help decide if you need to consult an attorney.
Ask her what the dead weight is that she is going to plant and make sure you have witnesses and a tape recorder in hearing range of her answer. Until you find out what it is, you should talk to close friends and family members, go to counseling with your wife and sleep with one eye open. LOL! Best wishes.

Don't call the attorney... call your wife and arrange a romantic date. Call a housekeeping service and have them clean the house while you are out as a surprise. Tell your wife you love her and plan something romantic on a regular basis. Once she sees you are actually pulling your weight, she won't want to push you into that hole and you can make a fountain instead... :)

Dig the hole, find the dead weight, and bury it yourself. Then ask your wife if she needs her feet rubbed or a day at the spa. Then pack your grip and tip.

She may have just been making a joke, but before anything you realy want to talk to her. Marrage is a real thing, and if you though you were ready to take it to that level, then you realy need to be honest with her and try to work it out. Honesty is the best policy in pretty much anything, but marrage isnt just words, its a commitment. You said powerfull words at the alter, try to follow those words before booking it.

If the hole happens to be 6ft/6ft. Maybe you should consult your local greyhound bus terminal first.

No, she is suggesting that maybe it is time to make some changes.
So make some changes, work with her, go to counseling, or go dig the hole.
Unless you want to leave?
