If you were a non-Christian country wouldn't you try to develop a nuclear bomb to gain respect and avoid war?

This question is coming from the biggest Muslim terrorist sympathizer on Y!A. The answer is no. Why would you need nuclear bombs unless you planned on going to war? They are just a waste of money unless you use them. Or are you actually implying that you think Ahmadinejad should use them?

I agree with the first answerer.

A small country, regardless of its religion, has nothing to gain by trying to develop a nuclear bomb. And it's likely to incur a lot of risk, internal and external, by doing so.

Besides, having a nuclear weapon doesn't make you respected. Just feared. And we've seen how the US reacts when it gets scared or annoyed with someone.

Overall, if I was a small country I wouldn't waste the money. You may ask why and this is the reason, if you didn't have nukes by the fifty's then you are way behind the curve. Because after you make a nuke you then have to have a way to deliver it to your target area. Take Iran for example, they think that having nukes will allow them to sit at the adult table at Christmas when really all it is doing is getting itself in bigger trouble, and ultimately could cause a war, not prevent one. So no, i would take my oil money and become a tourist state, not ta terrorist one.

But you must know that the threat is a threat
It doesn't matter what your faith is and that goes from Men ,Animals,and to plants.
Animals hides and run for protection and if they got caught or cornered they'll defend
Themselves and the same goes for the plants and human.

NO WEAPONS to anyone is fair..or
