yes he was a great actor, the line "are you free" will always be connected with some of the best English comedy that was ever made,i don't really know if he was gay or just acted it but the camp character always made me laugh...and of course he was always having a go at the pussy of Mrs Slocum...funny funny stuff,he will be sadly missed.......
