Im 17 years old ... Im moving california and im going to star studying in college next semester. I had tried leaving last august with my mom, then she couldnt because of work. Said she would go with me on thanksgiving break...same thing... said she would go christmas break... same thing...
Lost two college semester. So I said i would go by myself since i have friends there anyway.
She was ok with my decition. Dad said the same thing.
Im supposed to be leaving on thursday.
Now all of a sudden my grandmother says she will call social services if they let me go. and has told my whole family how crazy i am.
I really dont want to loose another semester. And if I wait until im 18 i will because thats in 7 months.
can she really do anything?
can she stop me?
what can i do?

your grandmother isnt your guardian. your parents have the last say over that. no she cant do anything, shes just threatening.

I really dont think that they could do anything but if it were me I would talk to someone in social services and see what they tell you. Good luck with your studies.

I don't think your grandma can do anything. She doesn't have legal custody over you (I assume). And if your parents have both said its ok, then there should be no problem.

If your writing is any clue college wont help you need to learn how to read and write first.
