What do you think about Al Gore's new movie "Inconvenient Truth"?

I think it is just amazing.....It is time we wake up to the reality.

Actually, it's a widely debunked piece of fiction so full of inaccuracies and distortions that it's become a joke.

I've attached a couple of links for you on that, including one from Dr. Robert Balling, and one with a list of many different debunkings.

It's a slick piece of film-making, but so have been many other pieces of nonsense. Doesn't mean we should use them to make policy.

EDIT: Here's a quick gut-check for you - Remember that in the 1970's, everyone thought Global Cooling was going to kill us all. They even proposed melting the polar ice caps as the only way to save us from the new Ice Age! Good thing we didn't jump when they told us to then, hunh?

Second, we still don't have any sort of working climate model. We have NO idea how the climate really functions on a large-scale. As an example of this, the Global Warming folks predicted - based upon the same science - that this year's storm season would be the worst ever. Instead, we had one of the tamest in history. They then claimed that THIS was proof of global warming.

Third - Check this. See how often they accurately predict the days' Highs and Lows even a day ahead. It's about 50, 60% of the time. So, if we cannot even predict tomorrow's weather to within a degree, how can we believe folks who are telling us what the temperature is going to be 100 years ahead?

Fourth - Guitarman, believe me, the rational people in the world would love it if you could as well.

If you don't know by now that it is a bunch of crap then you need to read more, most of the Global Warming scientists are jumping ship on Gore, his move is full of inaccuracies. A new movie coming out in spring should set the record straight on the sham, rememeber, Gore is also the one who said he invented the internet

I think that it's not a "new" movie. It did made me think of a lot of things in a different way though. I just found it ironic that during the movie, Mr. Gore was riding around in a jet or in the back of a Lincoln town car. I doubt those are energy-efficient.

I think it' s a bunch of hot air and he should come out and apologize for misleading everybody.
I just watched this video on Google videos and it makes a lot more sense than Gore's very convenient BS.

Good for you, Orion and Bill J...I personally LOVE the way these doomsday prophets are making total asses of themselves! The educated ones among us have a duty to help the idiots understand the truth, even if they don't accept it readily. That way, when we all collectively say "see, we told you so!" they'll finally feel like the brain dead morons they are.
