My neighbor who i went to school with is 19 and lives with her b/f. Since my fiance and I moved next to them, about a year ago, hes been arrested twice for hitting her.. and 'scaring'her sister...
ive never seen him HIT her, but ive seen the way he talks to her... sometimes hes real nice but then sometimes hes a real butt... Ive seen bruises a couple of times, Ive seen him and heard him beat her car.. as in punch it... trying to get her to get out so she woulsnt leave the house... one time I was up at around 1 am and i heard alot of screaming and it was he and my two other neighbors who also live next door got in a huge arguement because the girls were friends and this other girl said he hit her face... anyway... TONIGHT... not that long ago.. 12am (45 min ago) She was knocking on my door, out of breath and pale. I let her in let her use the phone.. she just called her sister i think... while she was on it he tried to open the door... and it was locked.. so he started beating on it.

It REALLY scared me because my dad was really abusive and violent... anyway.. what should i do? how can i help and... my fiance says it none of my business.. and i shouldnt put myself in the middle of it but Im not! im just helping someone that might be in danger, so... anyway.. what to do????? please help

When I was still living at home my dad used to TORTURE my mom and us kids... when I left, so did my mom.. He used to beat us with anything ("pistel whip" us too) i finally left because my mom didnt want to put us in danger by taking us with her (he threatened her through us like that alot of times) so i left so that she would feel safe enough to. anyway.. i understand why she hasnt really left yet... its.. complicated.. BUT.. I dont want to call the cops, because Like with my dad, when someone called the police, no matter who it was or even who admitted to it, he would always blame her.. its actually pretty dangerous, compared to other alternitives, to call police.. i just dont know what to do and how to help her without involving the police, but i know it can happen.. thats the help im looking for.. .thanks everyone

call 911 You can't force her to leave him but at least you can temporarily stop the beating

If you call the Police, they will come, and maybe one time they will put the guy in jail and put a restraining order against him In which time the neighbor gal will finally seek help. This could possibly be a start. Granted it's none of your business, but I wouldn't want to know someone got killed just because I tried to not make it my business by not helping. I think it's called "HUMAN COMPASSION"

second you may suggest she call the local womens shelter it is free counseling and if she needs a safe place to stay offer to take her if she needs
