i have a motorola razr and i want to knwo because im going to sleep and i set my alarm on the phone. right now it says 1240 and i live in IL

It normally does it itself, if not, take the battery out, wait 30 seconds or so to reset; it'll be on time after you turn it back on.

In your settings, under time there is a place where you can have it to automatically change the time. If not then you must do it yourself. But normally it does it for you.

Check with your provider. My phone gets the time from the service. I don't even know how I would change it, because it has the right time from the day I activated it.

Yes, the time will change automatically just as it does when you move from one time zone to another.
