I'm a teacher, and here are a few tips I give my students.

1. Find a comfortable place to do your homework that is quiet and free of interruptions. Have a snack before you begin so you're not working on an empty stomach.

2. Start with the hardest thing first. It will be fresher in your mind and once you're done with it, the easier stuff will be a breeze.

3. Use your class time as wisely as possible... if your teacher gives you a few minutes at the end of the day, use it to knock out some of the easy stuff instead of talking with friends or writing notes.

4. If you're already in a productive routine and have good study habits, discuss the issue with your teacher(s) and parents. See what kind of a plan you can come up with together.

Simply break your work down into chunks and prioritise those things that need doing first, organise your time so you have sufficient rest breaks that will enable you to remain alert and fresh as you tackle each task
