The Zodiac Killer was thought to be Arthur Leigh Allen, but Allen died in 1991 before they could truly know. A lot of his evidence was circumstantial.

Allen was exhonerated by DNA evidence in 2002, but the San Fransisco police department refused to take him off as their guy until a year or two ago. The Zodiac case has been reopened in San Fransisco as of March 2007.

The Zodiac killer was never caught. That is why he is such an enduring mystery in American criminal history. He is one of the few serial killers whose identity has never been established and who escaped justice completely, like Jack The Ripper.

No, the Zodiac killer has never been caught. There is speculation that he had a fatal heart attack before a case could be made against him.

No, not as far as I know. I do not even think there is any real evidence to suggest who he is.

Usually those who commit serial murder don't stop, so he may already be in prison for unrelated crimes or dead.

He could be your neighbor...or even you or me. ;)

No never; but there is a theory that they suspect who it might have been and the person died.
