If a fire alarm said pull down how would you make sure you hand is in the right position and that you have a good grip? Would you need to pull it out and down or does it go straight down? What would you feel so you know the handle is going down? Would you know how far down to pull the handle before you pull it? How do you know when to release the handle and if you need to hold it down before releasing.Could it take two tries if you lost your grip? If there was a fire and you were outside in a safe area would it take about 20 seconds to pull the t-bar handle?

If someone was next to me like a friend or parent do you think they would watch me if there were next to me to offer advice? Is it normal to have a doubt about how to operate the alarm in a fire if you have never done it? If your son was the one pulling the alarm and he asked you a question or said he had a doubt about how to activate the alarm what would you say? Would you still let him do it or would you do it together?
