Lady drove 2 hours to take me to hospital. I called her the next day and she said you don't need to come over and give me anything. I said I know. Then I never went over. Now I have a card for her but do I pay her for gas or would that offend her since she said she didn't want anything?
thanks.

In my experience, everybody says they do not want anything, but I don't think I have ever offended by leaving something, maybe in a card that will be opened after I left, or sending a little gift in the mail, It is nice to receive a little something, not expensive, just thoughtful.

She is honestly a good person. Like has been previously suggested, take her out to lunch. I'm sure she'd appreciate the company. Also, everybody enjoys a free lunch! *lol*

Send her a beautiful gift. Don't just send her a card. She will remember you in a positive way.

I think a card would be enough... u just want to show her that you appreciate her helping you.

I would just take her out to lunch or something.

That was really nice of her.
