Both. But genes influence more, because it is the basic thing to which man is attached to. The genes provide the foundation, on which the environment builds upon. The genes pour life into the Psyche and the environment provides the direction to life.

The environment. Learning how to talk is from listenning. Learning how to walk is from practise on Earth. Then you learn the "native" language. The psyche must feel secure in order to function properly. A baby that is not loved will die. Without nutrients from the environment, there can be no psyche. Imagine what you'd miss out on if there was no light, sound, or temperature. Our psyche is a product of our environment as much as our genes are, in my opinion. Nature and nurture. It's sort of one in the same in my eyes.

Yes certainly i have the idea that the environment has more influence on the Psyche than that is influenced by the genes.

If we study the behaviours and actions of different people with different Genetic-families but grown up in a similar environment, we find that their behaviors and actions match to a great extent.
Take examples of
1. Army-personnels.
2. Students
3. Forces
4. Mobs
5. Different Proffessional Groups etc.
So we can say that the Environment has greater influence than genes.

Definitely the environment, as a person is subject to so many different "real" situations and based on these makes an opinion..a person may be genetically predisposed to a particular behavior, but environment plays a BIG role in influencing the way of thinking..

Environment; for genes create a basic psyche and not the environment but the environment shapes and moulds it constantly.

The 'Psyche' is an unnecessary offshoot of the human cerebrum. The human cerebrum is a direct result of the human genome. The environment affects the development in an indirect way. So, if direct equals more then the anwer is genes!!!

Genes shouldn't make that much of a difference unless there is a hereditary mental disorder. Your culture affects your religion, and therefore your psyche. The conditions in which you live could affect your mental stability. All of that is part of your environment.
