Don't be shallow. It's not just for celebrities, they just often use them to show you how beautiful your skin may become. I mean, Jessica Simpson has amazing skin, doesn't she?

I have never heard of nor have I used acne complex so I can't tell you about that product.

Proactiv is not bad for your skin. It cleanses pores and helps your skin heal. The benzoyl peroxide kills germs and antibacterializes your skin. just don't get it on your clothes or towels or any other fabric.

How often do you use it? Do you go through the whole three step process when you do use it?

I have been using proactiv for about a year or 2 and it works...for the most part. If you use it like once a week it's not going to work. Doing that could even make the acne worse. What I've found that I have to do, is go through the three step procedure every night -- that is if I don't want to risk getting a new zit by morning -- and then I just use the scrub cleanser in the morning. I also recently discovered that the mask works quite well to get rid of existing zits and those that have not yet come out, but if you use it more than two days in a row it dries out your skin -- really badly. I'm still trying to get my skin back to normal from using the mask about 4 days ago.

If you use it and then stop using it, your acne most likely will come back, possibly even worse.

It's kind of like a drug that you become dependent on. Once you stop using it, there are side effects. I'm not implying that I am or that anyone else is a drug addict -- that was just a metaphor.

So unless your not willing to take at least five minutes of your day to use Proactiv, I would find something else.

I use it and it's been working for me real well. Benzoyl Peroxide generally isn't too good for your skin (I've got really sensitive skin) but it hasn't effected me in a bad way. Since you're a girl (I'm assuming from your avatar), this is going to sound weird but, try birth control. It really clears up acne and has a lot of benefits even if you're not sexually active.

It relies upon on your pores and skin type and how you react to it. in case you've were given undesirable zits you're maximum suitable off going to a dermatologist to get drugs for it yet in case you've merely were given a comfortable quantity that bothers you, proactiv is fairly sturdy. i have began utilising it about a million month in the past and my pores and skin has never regarded extra useful. I positioned on makeup on a consistent foundation and this doesnt react badly to the proactiv both. that is shown to be between the most reliable products on the marketplace so that is worth attempting to confirm if it fairly works, and if it doesnt then a minimum of you know.

Usually you should switch your products every few months, because you build up a resistance. If your acne is realllly bad & you go to a dermitologist (and your parents let you/you're old enough) you can see about getting acutane or some sort of medication like that. (It's perscription, so be sure you go to a dermitologist you trust). I've been on it for about 3 months and I have seen really good results. My siblings were also on it when they were in their teens, and it cleared everything up even afterwards. Just know that you won't get immediate results. : )

This is better: Arbonne has a proven great acne product called Beyond Basics Clear Advantage. It's all natural, no harsh chemicals, and not tested on animals. It was tested on humans.

Try Panoxil cream or gel, it also comes in a soap. My son has tried Proactive and it was very expensive & sticky, it did not do anything for him except severly dryed out his face.www.proactiv.com,www.dermadoctor.com
