I wear satin/silk string bikinis and wear tight pants and was wondering if women could tell if I'm wearing panties or have a panty line or not. Thanks for the help

It would actually be pretty easy to tell whether you were wearing panties or not (especially with the tight pants). Your pantyline would show. Now, there are VERY different outlines that women's underwear make than men's underwear make. It's really easy to tell.
Second, there is usually a pretty big difference between men's and women's pants. First of all, if the hips of the pants stick out too far compared to how tight the waist is, they're women's pants. If you buy a specific style, it's pretty easy. Unless you buy "straight cut", then most women's pants flare out somewhat. If not, you'd be cutting the circulation off to your foot. It's pretty easy to tell when that happens. (sorry... being humorous)

If you wear tight pants, you're going to have a panty line whether you're wearing panties or not. There are male versions of a string bikini - if the particular woman in question knew that, then she wouldn't be sure. All of this, of course, assumes that a woman would even notice the panty line. All I can say is some would, some wouldn't.
As for women's pants, it depends on the pants. If you're wearing Levi's jeans, probably not. If you're wearing gold lame Capris, I think that'd be a yes.

If you have a visible pantie line anyone can tell you're wearing panties or if they're showing over the top of your pants.

It sounds as though you want a pantie line. You should just wear your panties over the tight pants.

panty line? find a mirror and see for yourself.
they may not necessarily be able to tell what kinda panties you are wearing just by looking at your butt or panty line though.. bottom line, does it matter?
as far as the actual pants, well, if they are unisex, then you might be able to pass them off as men's.
