Shoulda gone with the Chargers. It'll be a while, at least 5 years, if he stays with the Giants. The Giants are going to need to rebuild in the next 2 or 3 years and they will probably find a new QB. If this happens, he will still be young enough and already is good enough to take another team to the big game.

Manning was never a big time player nor has he been known as a student of the game like his bro. He helped a lousy Ole Miss' team win a couple of extra games in college, but sending him to try to perform in New York was nuts. Too much pressure especially after his dad pulled that draft day power move (bet he wouldn't mind being on the Chargers now, eh?) and he hasn't shown us anything. His body language tells us he has no confidence in himself and his teammates can read this...did anyone hear of Eli calling Tiki to beg him not to retire by assuring a Super Bowl run this year? Nope. The team has performed well enough to win at every position except QB, who has to be able to perform despite OLine missed blocks, WR wrong patterns or RB fumbles. Eli has not shown he can carry team if necessary. He will not be back once his contract runs out...do not be surprised if the Giants draft one of the B grade QB's this draft as an eventual replacement.

Listen, the giants have alot of problems... their defense being the biggest one... the jsut can't make a big play to stop anyone... they also don't cause a lot of turnovers... eli just needs to settle down and make good decisions... i think he is fine but the giants need to address other things before worrying about him... like firing tom caughlin who is basically a joke of a head coach and having a better draft in which they are not drafting three or four defensive ends.. eli CAN win a superbowl but the team needs alot of work befoe they can even think about that... not even in the next few years can it possibly happen

The Giants have big problems right now. With Tiki gone and Coughlin, well, not exactly the most likable guy on the team the bad chemistry alone will keep them out of it. They played well until they all started blaming each other for each and every little short coming on the team.
So needless to say it's going to be awhile before Manning gets to go to a Super Bowl.

Yes as a backup and not with the giants. He is gonna get beat up while the giants try to put a line and skilled players around him.
What kind of QB do you think he would be now in San Diego playing with LD and the skill players they have and the coach they had especially the QB coach, but alas daddy Manning did not see it that way.
He thought San Diego would be the second coming of the Saints when he played for them.
I hope this has been of some use to you, good luck.

the giants team is very good eli is the reason they haven't made it to the super bowl in the past few years and now with this weaker running game i don't know if he'll ever do it.
