Manson has his followers kill 9 people - Mr and Mrs LaBianca - a wealthy couple who owned a supermarket chain, and Sharon Tate and 6 houseguests she had visiting her at the time.

Manson planned to make the murders look like they'd been done by African Americans. He wanted Whites to retaliate against Blacks, which would touch off "Helter Skelter" (his made up term for a race war).

Manson felt that the Blacks would win but he didn't think that Blacks were capable of ruling this country, so he and his followers would come out of the countryside and rule over the African American community.

It didn't work out at all like that - the LAPD quickly traced the killings to Manson's family, and that was that.

He was sentenced to die, but his death sentence was commuted to life in prison.

Every two years, he goes before the parole board, seeking release from prison - and every two years they say HELL NO and send him back to his cell!!!

The Manson family was convicted of 9 murders. The seven Tate-Labianca victims plus Gary Hinman and Shorty Shea. Charlie wasn't physically involved in the murders (with the possible exception of Shorty). His followers committed them. Six of them were convicted. The jury found that Charlie was a conspirator who ordered the killings and therefore was just as guilty as the people who committed them.

Well it isn't exactly easy to determine how many he personally killed, but he was sentenced for "having commanded certain members of his cult to commit the August, 1969, Tate-LaBianca murders in Los Angeles. "

"He ordered them to carry out several murders, including that of movie actress Sharon Tate (wife of the Polish movie director Roman Polański). Tate was eight and a half months pregnant at the time. Manson was convicted of conspiracy to commit murder. "

Charlie Manson never murdered anyone
He was just simply the little "mind game" punk who manipulated others to do the deeds FOR him under the guise that he was some "new age" revolutionary who had come to "right the wrongs of the past" !!

His followers were convicted of some nine brutal killings
including the unborn child of one of his adult victims ---and these people killed WERE --- HIS victims -- for he personally hand selected and targeted them and gave specific advice and input on how and when and where it was to Be done--- But Charlie --- like ALL criminal "mind-game punks"-- never had the Stuff to do his own deeds !!!
