I was working in my chocolate store and instead of saying 'Would you like to try some Peanut Brittle' I said 'Would you like to try some penis brittle?'

I'm not sure if the guy heard me, but I couldn't stop laughing afterwards. My boss wasn't impressed but luckily she had a sense of humour.

Just wondering if anyone has really stuffed something up or actually purposely said something rude to a customer? Was it fun and did you get a good or bad reaction?

I worked at a Dairy Queen during the busy summer, and the drive-through was always ridiculously backed up. This very rude lady had been waiting almost ten minutes when I leaned out the window and said, "Sorry about you wait". Well, she had to weigh about 300 lbs, and she said, "Well, I'm sorry I can't be an anorexic little twit like you!" I took me a minute to get it, but I think she was just looking for an excuse to be rude. Thae same day, I was serving a Butterfinger blizzard to this nice lady, and the guy that made it always called them "butt-fukker blizzards" and I said, "Here's you large Butt-fukker blizzard, ma'am" without even realizing it. I was so humiliated, and she told my manager that I cussed at her, when he is the one that got me saying it in the first place!

I work as a server at a restaurant and there has been a few times that I have messed my words up or said something rude to a customer,. I also one time asked when a lady was due to have her baby, I thought she was pregnant,,,,well, she was not!!!!!! It has been 7 years now and I still have my job. One thing I did get in trouble for is a lady asked for her reciept and I asked her if everything was okay did I do something wrong, well she called back and said that I got rude with her and asked if she was going to complain to the managers. I never said that and got in trouble still.....customers can suck sometimes. It sucks that your job can be at risk if a customer decides they want to complain, whether you did it or not.

I work at a liquor store. Our beer is up front, and the hard stuff is in the back of the store. A customer who had obviously never been in the place before came in and asked, "Where is your liquor?" I replied, "Liquor? In the rear." Then I realized what I said...it sounded kinda dirty. I giggled to myself and they guy looked at me like I was from Mars...I thought it was funny...
