Unless things change drastically in the civil war in Iraq Bush is not going to be remembered as a very good President. The Bush failures will be listed one after the other and anyone who supported him to the end won't be considered too bright.

Damn, Wolfie!

I'm really not so much a Bush supporter as I am sick of seeing 30+ years of incompetency blamed on one man. The foundations for this war *and* our current problems in Iran began LONG before W took office.

I *do* think he's done some good things, I know you'll disagree, but hey - that's one of the greatest things about this country. We have the freedom - and, let's face it, the money, to sit around on the computer and ***** about the government.

The links between Bush and President Lincoln are relatively common; both are and would be Active/Negative presidents according to James Barber ( a sociologist who classified presidents, check out: http://goliath.ecnext.com/coms2/gi_0199-3570020/Borges-s-encyclopedia-and-classification.html), however, Lincoln is considered one of the best presidents of history, and Bush (currently) one of the worst.

These presidents don't take joys out of their jobs. Lincoln was actually a pretty poor president (look at his nominations of generals during the civil war, his suspensions and disregards of the US Constitution), but his victory of the civil war, with the addition of the honor of the first assassinated president of the United States.

Bush doesn’t take joy from his job, but he feels compelled to do what he thinks is right, regardless of public, private, or popular opinion. He felt that it was a moral obligation to fight the “evils” of the world, starting with probably an issue of when he was young; Iraq.

If Bush succeeds in Iraq, he will likely join the hallowed halls of the likes of Washington, Lincoln, and FDR, but if he fails, he’ll likely join Nixon.

Bush tends to act with extreme secrecy, which can be both a good and bad thing. He may get things done, but doesn’t let the whole story be know, which works to his disadvantage.

As history proves, whoever supports the victor is seen as the wise man. If you want to understand who will be seen as the wisest, you should simply see who's right.

its not all of the supporters that are bad he just uses fear to brainwash people into thinking they are doing the right thing and protecting their freedom by supporting him, like lambs to the slaughter. this would never have happened if people accually looked into the issues and polititions they vote for. its dumb to just go str8 rep. or str8 dem or str8 anything when voting. we have been given this freedom to examine our government every so often and to vote to make change for the good of all. it saddens me when people vote for someone just because they are rep. or dem. it is through pure ignorace and lazyness that we have let our government take this much control. people need to relize that when the vote they are voting for someone to run a country, its not just a popularity contest. if people continue to let the country be ran like this then america will eventually turn into another iron curtain type deal but this time in america.

I think Bush will be remembered as our worst president by far. However, I think the people who voted for him were aided and abetted by a complicit media and poor schools. It's actually been a goal of the Republican party for decades now to diminish the public school system; without good education, you can't have an informed electorate, which is the essential ingredient of a flourishing democracy.

So if you take an uninformed electorate, an administration purposely trying to scare the citizenry at every turn, and corporatized media that doesn't ask any difficult questions of the president and then feeds us pablum about Anna Nicole Smith, you get a very dangerous administration running amok and even getting re-elected.

Hopefully a lot of voters are waking up now and realizing they were had.

If so, I am in good company. Over 51% of American voters voted for Bush not once but twice. We have had some bad presidents & some uninteresting presidents = look at Carter until he left office & starting working for Habitat he was boring & unknown for anything - now he is a nut case that hates Jewish people. Clinton was a loser & Ford bought time. Nixon speaks for himself- Well you get my point, Bush will have history remember him as a good president hated by the left wing & judged harshly by the idiots.

If it's failures you are after bubba - do some reading on the Clinton White House ..commonly known as the most corrupt in our nations history . George W. Bush will stand out way above that BOZO and accomplished more in his 1st 2 yrs. in office than both Clintons could in 8 years ..and after our nation suffered a huge series of terrorist attacks . Bilk & Hitlery couldn't even manage one attack on the WTC . If they did -we may have been spared 9/11 and all those thousands who were lost would be home having Sunday dinner with their families ..instead of being blown to smithereens .

This has to be one of the most ludicrous questions I have ever seen. Short answer-Bush supporters will not be singled out in history books. Step away from the crack pipe.

Listen to their present arguements, and cloud the issue attempts -- they already sound idiotic

RESPONDING TO LEANNS post on the outcome of the war is uncertain..
What about the events that led us intothe war.
That in itself should say enough to form a really accurate opinion on just how disgraceful this administration has been

No, they won't go down in history as anything because after Bush, the Earth won't even have a history. The Earth will be dead.

No one can know how history will treat Bush or his supporters.

The outcome of the war will be a major talking point, I'm sure.

If the Islamic radicals continue their tactics of indiscriminate murder and terror - it could well turn out that Bush is on the right track in trying to destroy this demented ideology.

No one has the crystal ball on this one.
