Part one: I am 37 1/2 weeks. I started having regular contractions today around 7 pm. They came with back pain, pain down my left thigh and they were 4-9 minutes apart. I was laying down so I got up and walked a little bit on my treadmill and they got worse. I couldnt take it anymore, so I drank a glas of water and laid down like your suppose to and they stayed the same. After about 2 and a half hours they slowed down and eventually stopped. I dont think they were braxton kicks because I have had them for almost a month and I know what they feel like. This was a sort of pain that I have never felt before.
Anyone else have this problem or any advice for me.
Every little piece of advice is greatly appreciated!

Part two: did anyone else have very vivid dreams about your new baby before labor started? i have had dreams of my baby for the past few days. they arent the wierd baby dreams people talk about.

Okay to answer part 1 they are still Braxton Hicks because they are not regular yet. BH's get more painful as you get closer to delivery. I get these too and I just recently had to ask if they were still BH's because mine too had changed.
Part two. I haven't delivered yet, but I am at 36 weeks and my dreams have become more vivid, I constantly dream about what she looks like and holding her. I also, keep having these dreams that she ends up being a boy, but I think that is because I am slightly paranoid that that will happen.
Good luck with baby and congrats ahead of time.

At this point go to the hospital to be sure. A friend of mine has 6 weeks left to go and is having contractions (BH) pretty much non-stop, her OB told her if they came less than 10 minutes apart, even if they stop to go get it checked.

Its really hard to say, my mother never felt any contractions. She knew she was in labour when her water broke. Her sister had true contractions for about 36 hours before her labour started.

Just go to be sure, the worse that happens is they send you home.

Good Luck and Congrats.

Oh yes, and I'm 23 weeks and having vivid dreams of the baby.

well, braxton hicks do tend to get worse closer to delivery. You will know when the real contractions come, because you won't be able to speak through them or have difficulty speaking. when you feel the braxton hicks just sit down, calm down, prop your feet up and drink lots of fluids.

And the dreams i had the same dreams when i was getting ready to have my son.

don't worry everything will be fine! Good luck with the baby :)

i do get pain sometimes at this time but i just get on with it,until i see signs of water or blood ,with pain then i know its for real.
if you are worried, you can see your doctor, that would be best.maybe you have over done it that day,too much house work?
dreams do happen,i think you are worried, just try to relax and breath, you will be o.k.
good luck to you!

you should probably go to the hospital to get it checked out. your baby might be telling you something.

could your dreams be of your little one because of the sonogram pictures that you have?
