US and British imperialism (for a century of meddling in Middle Eastern internal affairs so as to keep control of the oil fields) and the Zionist movement (for having stolen Palestine from the Palestinian Arabs and having built a colonial settler state on stolen land)

United States. Although the US thought it was doing a good thing by attacking Iraq and kicking out Saddam, this had nothing to do with 9/11. In fact, the problems have only gotten worst over there.

There should have also been an agreement with all the nations over there before this was started. This did not happen.

We can not blame just the terrorists (verdict is still out on the bombings for 9/11) and Muslims (most would just like also to be left to pray alone and be in peace like the rest of us).

Responsibility must not only be the US's but the whole world for having a hand in this. Only when that is understood, will we solve the problems of the Middle East.

The British, French, and other European nations who conquered the Middle East during the Age of Imperialism. The US and USSR contributed by meddling extensively after World War II. People don't like being taken over or economically dominated by foreign powers!

The shameful truth of the matter is that the United States is for the first time since the 19th century, an aggessor nation. Afghanistan was a legitimate target, Iraq was not. So now, we reap what we have sown.

President George W. Bush is a lousy farmer. He may say he is a rancher, but all ranchers are grass farmers. His livestock count just happens to be high in one animal. He is a bad farmer because he has killed the snake (Saddam) in the barn (Iraq) while letting the rattle snake (Osama) under the house ( Afghanistan) slither away and all he has is a basket full of kittens (Iraqi Government) to handle all the rats(terrorist) that are now running all over the place. It is time to close the farm and let nature take it’s course because it’s obvious we can’t store our grain (troops) here anymore.

A lot of things, religious and secular, have happened for decades to create the bitterness and rage that has now come to a head in the Middle East. I don't think our leaders have shared the real reasons with us that we are there. Iraq is the wrong country to invade because of 9/11, and we have the technology to use less oil.

America is, America has been meddling in the area for years and years. We supplied Iran with arms and training, we gave arms and training to Iraq. We helped appoint Saddam then we took him out. We helped Osama gain power. We snuck into the region to spy on Russia. America has a vested interest in the area oil and positioning mostly greed though has kept us in the area. We made a monster and now we are blowing it way out of proportion while the stinking rich make mega billions.

Everyone.
The conflict in the middle east is a product of over 2000 years of ignorance, vanity, intolerance, greed, religion, and human nature.

You're going to get a lot of one sided answers, but the real truth of the matter is that it is no one person, ethnic group, religion, or country's fault.

You mean Iraq today? george Bush. If you mean Israel/Palestine, European powers are at fault. As for the other wars going on, there are too many to get into here.

We all are! We can't blame just one society of people! We are all to blame for this but we need to get the hell out of there! It's not about terroism! We are making it worst! It is about the oil! Remember that!
