Being overweight has nothing to do with clothes size. If you want to know what is considered on the large side, then size 16 plus, which is considere plus size in most shops.
Perfect size to me is size 6-8, but anywhere from a 2 to a size 14 is ok.
And just to people mentioning height.......it is not the main determining factor, it's bone size. Yes, taller people generally have slightly bigger bones, but you can have a 5ft8 woman with a small frame and a 5ft2 women with a large frame and they would both look good at the same clothes size.
There are only really two factors to consider in determining whether someone is overweight or not and that is body fat percentage and waist size. If both of those are okay, then you are not overweight and your clothing size becomes pretty irrelevant.

It really depends on the height and build of the woman in question. You might think 11, but if a girl is 5'9'' and broad in the shoulders, size 11 would be normal weight. Then there is the difference between brands. You might not have this problem, but anyone over a size 8 will relate. Some brands say size 8 and when you hold it up to another size 8, it looks 2 sizes smaller. This might be more common here in Canada, but I have purchased American clothing lines where this is certainly true as well.

Oh brother. Do you realize that every clothing manufacturer has slightly different sizing? So your perfect size 5 in one pair of jeans might be an 8 in another. It's a bit ridiculous to generalize what the "perfect" size is when the average woman is NOT size five.

Sounds stable to me. you're authentic approximately media hype. they are going to take a skinny lady and tell her to be a effectual type she needs to pass from a length 5-6 right down to a 2. consequently those fashions seem terrible yet women purchase into the lie that they could be like a skeleton. it is ridiculous. yet another element, the sizes are off counting on the producer. a similar element with weight charts. each and each individual could evaluate their very own well-being in accordance to 'good judgment'. while you're doing on an well-known basis aerobic exercising, you're extra effective than in shape! in simple terms be who you're.

it depends. because i am so short (5'4) i wear 2 , 1 or 0's but if you are taller a size 5 or 6 is cute. if i wore a size 5 the doctor would tell me i am overweight. when my 5'6 sister was wearing a size 8 the doctor said she was overwieght but some one who is a 5'8 and wearing a size 8 would be in proportion.

Girls have different shapes. I know a girl who wears a size 12, but she is very fit and healthy. She just has wide hips.
I agree that the ideal most girls try to get to is about a 5-7. I'm a size 1 right now, and would love to get my curves back... (my baby stole them from me! Breastfeeding really DOES make you lose weight!)
