yes it is save the last dance with julia stiles and sean patrick thomas. it came out 2001 rated pg-13.
it is about sara (stiles) who blames herself for her mothers death. after the death her surrondign changes to the city. while there she falls in love with derek, who helps her get into her dream school and teaches her how to danc eot hip hop. thou sara's story is the main story this movie has many other stories added in. like maliki with derek and the fact that interracial relationships are not accepted, and teenagers going ot school and being a mother..
