Hi Deva!

Yes, you can see the sun at 9 p.m. in New Zealand. Not this evening, naturally.

First, you have to wait until spring. In December and the first half of January, across all of the South Island, the sun stays out until after 9 p.m.

For example at Christchurch, from December 9th to January 27th, the sun stays out past 9, with the latest sunset of the year at 9:12 p.m. At Invercargill, in the far south, the post-9 p.m. sunsets start on November 15th and last all the way past Valentine's Day, February 16th to be exact!

They're about 13 hours ahead of N America, so it's about 8 AM here. Is that what you meant?
