If you have patience, lot of compassion but can still be objective. People will tell their deepest thoughts and some will be very frightening. You need to be able to stay calm and not get easily emotional during sessions. It seems like an easy career but it can be very stressful.

Do you think being a weapons expert on the A10 aircraft is a good career? For you probably not, for me it was great.
You are an individual, only you can answer this question. My only suggestion is to try to spend some time one of them and pick their brain. Ask the question that are important to you. BTW, don't even try to do it cold, sit down and think about the questions and write them out. A list is much better than a missed opportunity.

YOu have to decide this. Before you make this decision, make sure you know all the steps that you have to take to become one. Also, get some experience in the field before you make your decision. That is the best advice I can give you.
