The significant others family background and how those things mesh with your life and lifestyle...
From how you view world issues...to how you would raise your children...how you view commitment...how you budget finances...what type of lifestyle you want to have....how you view your spiritual life....how you view physical, emotional, and spiritual well being...
I think that people that are dating do well with counseling...it helps to give each partner things to think about..and it helps you determine your compatibility....
All of those things will determine how you will get along...and how compatible you really are...
I also think it is very important to discuss what your career choices are...and how they will play out cohesively....does your career have a chemistry with his....and how they can be compatible...
Basically you want to make sure that your life with his can have a good middle ground...and that you think according to the same principles....
Also, you want to make sure that you are two focused and self aware people...lost people trying to be compatible is a difficult task....

The main thing a female should look for in a future partner is how he treats and reacts with their Mother. This would be the first female in their life, so if she's treated well & with respect, then things are on a better track for you with him.

OK you need to LQQK for the following
1.You have too be right with yourself before you can be right with someone else.In other words you have to be OK with being alone, self reliant, a job, car etc.
2. For your mate, refer to rule number one, he has to be the same, not living with mom,brother, cousin, a friend of a friend, etc.
3.Someone who respects you at all times
4. unconditional love
5. have the same or similar goals and ambitions
6.Watch how he treats other women, mother,sisters, other females
7. He should never ever put his hands on you
8.See how he feels about kids, you two must agree
9. The two of you must always come to an agreement on all major decisions
10. If your starting to get serious about someone, have their background checked out by a P.I.
11. Looks aren't as important as what's on the inside he must have a good heart
This a list for you to build on. But don't compromise on any of them because, their important to a long term life with someone

She should look for love and respect. Do not rush into anything. The longer you stay with them before marriage, the more of the chance that you are going to find out what they are really like. I married my husband after only 4 months of dating. He has changed since then, to say the least. When you are dating couples tend to do things they normally wouldn't do in order to "catch" the other partner.

If he was enabled by his mother, meaning he never had to lift a finger to do anything, including wiping his own a s s when he was in his 20s, then he will expect that from you. It is all he knows so mommy is replaced by you doing everything for him. You will become resentful and then homicidal. Check that out before you marry the dude.

Truth, companionship, humor, fun and absolutely love. Remember how he treats animals, and mentally picture him with your child. You know what is important. You also know what you are dealing with and if it is worth it. I would never spend my life with any man that doesn't speak with truth, I have had several relationships that I have walked away from, due to lies, and cruelty. To be honest with you, I would rather be alone, than with a liar, and I believe in love, I want to spend the rest of my life with somebody I love, and am in love with.
